Our hon'ble former president Dr.A.P.J.Abdulkalam have narrated a real incident in his life about not to lie in his "An indomitable spirit" book. I just recall those lines here.
Abdulkalam's friend who was working in IISC, Bangalore had one child aged 10 was studying 3rd standard. He was insisted his child not to lie under any circumstances. One day, on school working day he brought his child to his friend's home celebration. The next day he wrote a leave letter for his child. In that letter he had mentioned that owing to unavoidable reason, my child couldn't attend yesterday's class. But his child looked her father after she read the letter and said, daddy you said I should not lie at any time. But you have mentioned in the letter saying owing to unavoidable reason I couldn't attend the class, even though I could skip your friend's home celebration and I could have attend the class. The dad was ashamed and he rewrote the letter with real reason for the leave.
If a 10 year old child can keep the moral in her life, why can't we matured people can't keep it so.
Tears were rolled down across my cheek after I read this real story in the book.
So, friends can we take an oath of not to lie in our life under any circumstance.
Rgds,
Mohan
