The most inspired people I met in my life

Though, we have crossed many people in our life, only very few of them have a great influence over us. We keep them as our role model, well-wisher and source of inspiration.  In this post, I’ve given such personalities whom I met in my life. Please go ahead and Happy reading!!!

Shri. V.Udhaya kumar:
He is the founder of India Sudar educational trust. We both have known each other for more than a year. Though, I have met him only once, we have exchanged some important things over phone and electronic mails. There are many things one need to note, when comes to special about Udhaya. He is a self disciplined, hard (smart) work guy. Always thinking about the downtrodden people and come out with the ways to help them. Every day morning, he practices to sit alone and think about the work he needs to do and about his ambition/goal. He used to say we all are ready to work but never give a chance to ourselves to think about what we want to become. One more notable thing is, his way of speaking. Oh god, what a maturity he has. One final thing I want to let you all know here is, he used to say, when someone doing good work, we should not just acknowledge his/her work but appreciate their work. Though he has had done lot of things, he never exposed anything to others.

Shri. D.AlbertWilson:
It is not an exaggeration to say, he is my best friend and good critic of my work, my attitude, my behavior and my spiritual guru right from my college days at IRTT from 2005 till date. This multi personality is working in the prestigious central govt company ONGC. In the world, anyone come to him without hope, energy, attitude, then I’m sure this Albert can motivate and throw light on their life. His famous line is "motivate others". He never let himself to underestimate anyone. Always speak good things with smile in lips and magnetic power in eyes.  My life could have turned to red if I didn't meet Albert. Every time he phones me, I must be prepared to hear some motivational lines. Despite almost settled in ONGC, he never give up the aspiration of becoming an IAS officer. Albert's life is a good ethical value lesson to all of us indeed. He is an example of the following quote. "We must never be satisfied with what we have achieved so far, but continually strive to improve."
If you feel, life is not yours and failure only your property, then better you need to contact Albert

 Mr.A.Gunasekaran:
I must be honored to write some inspiring lines about this amazing and simple guy. He is a fresh MBA graduate passed out from IIFT, New Delhi after worked with Wabco TVS for 2 years. Self disciplined mind can do wonder. You should not avoid the above said line. He prepared MBA CAT amidst having high pressure R&D technical job. Hard work is a vital thing and if it combines with disciplined mind, then it will do so many wonders. He used to say, we all must be prioritize the priority. When one of my friend approached him and asked, how he can work throughout the night without getting sleep. He responded to my friend's question, we all are wanting to sleep but when you want to achieve something, then we need to prioritize the priority. Compare to my work, my sleep is not my priority, so I can work without any trouble. What a good lesson? Though he didn't read Vivekananda's Karma yoga book, he is the perfect copy of Vivekananda's purpose. I've changed myself a bit after hear some interesting life incidents of this handsome Guna.

Thiru. V.Manikandan:
This short guy is working with TVS Motor, Chennai. He is coming from very very ordinary family background with top mark in both 10th and +2 in Tamil medium, Govt School.  He is a live example of how one's hard work can elevate one to zenith of the life. He absorb all sort of people, be it a good guy or bad one, ordinary people or extra ordinary people, he used to mingle with them. During my college 2nd year I went to his home and come back with very proud heart. How poor his family and there is no sophisticated thing in his home but this little master. His parents were coolie and earned just 60 rupees a day, but now he can run a good life. We most of Indians are poor, so, every poor has to keep manikandan as a role model and come up in their life as he did.

Mr.R.Navin kumar:
Request you NOT to reveal this blog information to this Navin as he never wants to get fame. Cognizant must be pride to retain him as an employee.  He is my college mate and he let myself to accommodate in his room for the past several months. He is the perfect example of the proverb "Knowledge is power". I heard many news about Bilgates and many other top minded techies but I've seen only this Navin. I do believe, they all must be behind the race when compare to Navin's knowledge. His disciplined mind is always thinking without any break. He channelizes his work, so that he keeps himself busy in any of the work. Some of the good thing about Navin is, he can solve mind teasing puzzle in a very short time, can do numerous complex computer coding, he is a professional runner right from school. He does play diligently football, carom, Cricket, Table tennis with full energy and dedication. I heard once, self controlled people never express angry at anyone and never throw abusive words. This Navin also not an exception one.

Mr. N.Ramanathan:
This lean boy is my class mate at IRTT and presently working in leading Tractor manufacturing company called TAFE in Chennai. So, what special about Ramanathan? Which thing inclined me towards him? It is ability to stretch to work even he gets too much tired. He has pressed the alarm button to us saying we must ready to work at any time without looking at clock. I recall some incident, during our college days some of us used to go out to eat in outside hotel and back to hostel by 10 or 11 PM with full stomach. Every one tends to sleep, but this guy used to prepare till 3AM. He is such a self disciplined guy, doesn't he?

People, so two things are very commonly found among these 6 people. They are self control/discipline and hard work. Let’s take these 2 tools in our life and can go ahead in our life towards success. Hope you enjoy the reading. Please you also can share the similar experience with me through your blog.

Thanks,
Mohanraj.G.K

Share your seat, prove your humanity

It sounds weird and absurd to most of you, but surely it prove yourself as a complete human being. All of us including me tend to travel in a government bus with intention of rush into bus for occupying the seat. Finally many of us got seat and rest of us forced to stand till reach their destination. Very important thing is all of us paying equal amount as a bus fair. The people who sitting in a bus never have heart to lend a seat to the people who are standing till their stop comes.
As time and the world change, why our basic behavior is still stays in adamant condition? Consider other co passenger as a human being and offer a seat once you complete your half a journey and let him/her take a seat in rest of the journey. Infosys Shri.N.R.Narayanamurthy often insists that We India needs to learn a lot from western countries. In western countries people never behave in a same way as we Indian do in this regard.
Benefits of lending your seat:
1. You will gain a friend (sometimes girl friends based on your luck)
2.  It gives you a chance to prove yourself as kind heart human.
3. It gives you an unlimited satisfaction for helping others.

PS: The above said is applicable only for the travel less than 3 hours.

Abdulkalam's message on "Not to lie"

Our hon'ble former president Dr.A.P.J.Abdulkalam have narrated a real incident in his life about not to lie in his "An indomitable spirit" book. I just recall those lines here.

Abdulkalam's friend who was working in IISC, Bangalore had one child aged 10 was studying 3rd standard. He was insisted his child not to lie under any circumstances. One day, on school working day he brought his child to his friend's home celebration. The next day he wrote a leave letter for his child. In that letter he had mentioned that owing to unavoidable reason, my child couldn't attend yesterday's class. But his child looked her father after she read the letter and said, daddy you said I should not lie at any time. But you have mentioned in the letter saying owing to unavoidable reason I couldn't attend the class, even though I could skip your friend's home celebration and I could have attend the class. The dad was ashamed and he rewrote the letter with real reason for the leave.

If a 10 year old child can keep the moral in her life, why can't we matured people can't keep it so.

Tears were rolled down across my cheek after I read this real story in the book.

So, friends can we take an oath of not to lie in our life under any circumstance.

Mohan

Self improving lines from Swami Vivekandar

Feedback session

Couple of days back, my manager has conducted a session titled “Feedback session”. Many of us do not heard this activity before. Let me tell you what the session is all about.

In the globalized corporate world, working with team is an inexplicable thing. In such a scenario, most of us unable to know what our team mates are thinking about us. Everyone has positive as well negative views on any individual. But most of the time we don’t want to let the individual person knows.

In “Feedback session” this barriers could be broken into particle as if the glass has fallen on the floor.
Pre setup before kick starts session:
1. Every person has to sit and form a circle.
2. Everyone has to write his/her name on the top of the white sheet (make sure both side should be unused)
3. Everyone has to pass his paper to the person sitting next to you and this process should be repeated to 2 or 3 times.
4. Now each of us has a different owner’s paper. Now each one should write the positive things about the person (whose name is available in top of the paper) in one side and negative things on the other side of the paper.

Pass the paper once you have done your job and ready to get next paper from the person sitting before you. This process cycle should be completed until you get your paper.
At end of this session, each of you comes to know what your team mates are thinking about you.

Significance of Feedback session:
1. Everyone can analyze his/her positive as well negative. So, we can be more cheerful about our positive and give more care on our negative to convert them into positive.
2. Some people have found some negative things with somebody else but they don’t want to spell out to him as they feel uncomfortable to do it. But through this process we can express our views about our team mates.

People I’m really came to know what my team mates are thinking about me through this activity. I personally honor my manager to brought this activity to our team.

Why you are gazing at computer now?. It’s time to start a Feedback session in your team.
Ready to know what your team mates are reckoning about you.

Mohanraj.G.K

Quote on Leadership

Leadership

“In everything that you do, if you want to gain respect of your men, you must be professionally better than them. You must be work harder than them. You've to stretch yourself more than them. If you ask them to work 8 hours then you must work 10 hours. If you ask them to walk 10 miles, you should walk 20. If you tell them to go without food, then you must go without food and water. Whatever you do make sure that you are better than them in quantum of efforts and competence. Whatever you do put them before you”.

"The best advice I ever got"

Recently I got an opportunity to flip through 100+ pages of the book titled “The best advice I ever got”. I would like to bring you some of the best line/advice/quote of the famous personalities those given in the book. Hope everyone will enjoy.
Here you go…

1. Satisfaction is death. We must never satisfy with what we have achieved. But continually strive to improve.
2. Be the change you want to see in the world. If I want others to follow, I must be prepared to go first.
3. There are always two paths you could travel. One is ordinary and comfortable path and another one is very challenging one. But you must always take up the later path. Because, the challenging path will take you to the destination whereas the comfortable path itself a destination.
4. Believe in the present and do justice to it. Instead of pondering over the past and trying to argument what went wrong. It is always better to concentrate on the work to be done at present and try to do the best.
5. One should strive to do one’s duty to the best of one’s ability but not worry about the result as they are never fully in one’s hand.
6. Result matters, not efforts. Hard work is nullified if not accompanied by the result.
7. Just don’t deviate from your plan of action. Continue to doing the right thing, the way you are doing now. One day the world will notice it.
8. Whichever decision will give you peace of mind and help you go to sleep peacefully is the right decision.
9. If you let others to decide for yourself, you will reach nowhere.
10. Ears have twice the surface area of the mouth. We have only one mouth against two ears. So, it is better to listen 4 times as much you speak.
11. Avoiding mistakes by observing others mistakes are most opt to keep free from sorrow.
